Finding the RIGHT way – Do it YOUR way!

You probably recall the song by Frank Sinatra ‘My Way’ which came out in 1969?

I’m not going to talk about the song but about doing things the right way or your way!

The song talks about the end being near, facing the final curtain, living life to the full, travelling each and every highway, having regrets, planning a chartered course, taking careful steps along the byways, biting off more than he could chew, facing up to things and standing tall, laughing and crying, and having his fair share of losing.

Wow! That’s some list isn’t it?

The song, and its lyrics made me think about how we spend our days often doing same or similar tasks, trying to find better, easier and more productive way of doing things so we can get more out of each day.

I’m sure like me you’ve had family, friends or colleagues who have offered advice, telling you what you should do to improve. Why do they do this? They do it because it worked for them and feel it will work for you.

However, as the saying goes, ‘there is more than one way to skin a cat’!

As a business coach I often use resources and creative exercises for clients to take away and use as a tool to create a new way of achieving what they want. I help them think about what they are doing, why they are doing it and consider if there might be another way of doing it ‘their way’.

I only help with providing clarity, focus and direction, enabling the client to find their own way to do to the task in a way that best suits them and their business. By guiding clients through this, they are empowered to think more creatively and see there are options in achieving a better outcome.

To find your own ‘My Way’, before your final curtain and to ensure you live life to the full, plan your chartered course, as you travel along many highways, knowing you will likely bite off more than you can chew, and have some regrets. However, you know you will be able to face up to things, stand tall, laugh or cry about having your fair share of losing, in the knowledge you did it YOUR way!
