How to make someone’s day

The best things in life are free – aren’t they?

Often the things that have the most value or quality cost nothing; the price of something does not always properly indicate its value.

For example, experiencing the love of a baby is really life-changing. Seeing a loved one happy because of something nice you’ve done or given, gives us a huge adrenaline rush.

It’s been said that money can’t buy the most important things in life.

We often take things for granted, don’t we? Our health, our freedom, our situation.

However, when something happens, and this is taken away from us for whatever reason we feel the loss so bad and wish we had made the most of what we had when we had it.

We often may appear ungrateful for what we have, perhaps wishing we had what others have, instead of feeling grateful for what we do have – this can make us feel dissatisfied.

The ‘free’ things in life are the things that money can’t buy.

Love, happiness, good health, prosperity.

We are in such challenging and difficult times right now and providing something to someone which is no cost to ourselves or another by making someone’s day is a huge ‘feel good factor’ and doesn’t take much to incorporate into our lives.

We could make a person’s day by checking in with someone, a friend, colleague or family member. Perhaps you could plan to call someone every day. How much time would that take? And how might the other person feel when you do? It may absolutely make their day, make them feel special, remembered and remind them you care and are there for them. It doesn’t take much.

We could do a ‘good deed’ for someone. Perhaps giving them a small gift, a little something that you know they might like. Isn’t it wonderful for someone to receive a surprise particularly something that is totally unexpected? And consider how good it will make us feel.

So, how are you going to make someone’s day today?

Are you going to incorporate reaching out to someone every day?

If we all did this what a different place the world would be, wouldn’t it?
